Jack-
I have been thinking for the past couple of days how I was going to thank you for making my dreams come true. I have been trying for days to think of a way to properly express my gratitude and undeniable satisfaction with our wedding. There are no words that do the beauty of the Higdon House justice. I was so pleased with our wedding that I was in awe and tears by the end. Everything was perfect, and the attention and kindness that your staff showed to me and my family brings warmness to my heart. I could not have asked for anything more, my wishes as a little girl were brought to reality this past weekend. Thank you so much for everything!

I am still in awe thinking of your Inn. It is UNBELIEVABLE. I do apologize (a little) for sneaking a peek before our meeting but am so elated I did. We DEFINATELY want to book it for our daughter's wedding.

Thank you for the magical outdoor wedding, my daughter, Christen always dreamed of. We looked at so many other venues and Christen was going to settle for an indoor wedding because we could not find anything like what she and Chris had dreamed of. Then, one day I found the Hidgon House website. The internet can not begin to show the beauty of this house and the gardens. As mother of the bride, all my stress melted away upon entering the Higdon House. I soon discovered that you and your staff were totally prepared to make our wedding perfect in every way and pamper us at the same time. When you wake up to soft music, a beautiful view from every window and a delicious breakfast by candlelight , you just know it's going to be a great day.
Thank you also, Jack, for your recommedations on a florsit, catering service, DJ and director. Carol quickly caught Christen's vision for flowers and delivered the most gorgeous flowers I have ever seen at any wedding. The caterer, Judy, worked with my budget to the put together a lovey meal. The DJ, Burke, was awesome and our guest had a ball dancing the night away. Leigh, the director has a talent for keeping the whole bridal party together and stress free. All the vendors were a pleasure to work with.
While reflecting on the wedding the day after, I would not change one single thing about Christen and Chris' special day. You and your staff gave our "little girl" the wedding she only dared to dream of. It was absolutely PERFECT!!!!! Jack, your God-given vision, talent and love for your quest are unbelieveable.

All of our guests could not believe we had found such a wonderful place. You and your right arm Martha kept everything so easy for us that the stress level was at its lowest, so we could relax and enjoy our stay. You have the most wonderful staff, so friendly and always asking if they could help. Thank you Jonathan for tying all those bows with me, you are a treasure. Thank you also for bringing us to Leigh, she was wonderful at keeping us on time and in line. Hi Jack!
Thank you so much for helping to make this past weekend the most wonderful one of my entire life! Everything went so perfectly, and every time someone asks me how my wedding day went, the only word I can think of is SURREAL. It is hard to believe that something can turn out as perfectly as our wedding day did. The ceremony was just gorgeous, not only because of the amazing weather we were blessed with, but also because the entire layout of the ceremony site is just perfect and everything a bride could ever want! The reception was absolutely magical... everything went so smoothly, and it was so picturesque. Then when the sun started to go down & the entire place lit up, it took my breath away. Thank you for helping to make it a perfect day for me. I have been told by all of the guests that attended that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! Your staff was so gracious and organized, and Leigh was such a blessing to have! She helped me to remain calm and to enjoy the moment... she is a very good wedding director. I hope to have another event at your site one of these days... it was the greatest weekend of our lives!

Clayton and I had the Best time!!! And our faimily & friedns who shared our Wedding Day with us had a Wonderful time too. The Higdon House is absolutely Beautiful. You, your staff, Leigh & the Caterer... were absolutely Wonderful!!! Friends and Family who stayed the weekend there withus Loved everything about it. And you staying up late & visiting with the guy's....priceless. They can't stop talking about it.

Dear Jack
On October 4, 2008 my daughter Jennifer and her then fiance Chris had their wedding at your beautiful home, Higdon House Inn. To say this was a fabulous and magical wedding would be an understatement. From the first day we arrived for our weekend wedding experience we felt like royalty. Every little need was met and we felt as though we were staying with longtime friends. From the first time I spoke to Jack over a year ago about having my daughter's wedding at his lovely estate till the actual wedding weekend, Jack offered advice, help and more often friendship and reassurance about planning Jennifer and Chris' wedding there. The whole process was almost painless and the value of what we received was what really sold my husband and myself on the final decision to have the wedding there. You cannot find any other venue out there that offers so much and costs so little. If anyone is even thinking about having a wedding at Higdon House, don't hesitate because Jack gets booked up fast and for a good reason. I also have to comment on the staff that works for Jack. Martha, who is there to tend to your needs and cooks an incredible breakfast, was an absolute sweetheart. Anything we needed help with, she was there to help us. Also the rest of Jack's staff were friendly and helpful as well. I continue to get positive comments from friends and family who attended the wedding and they have raved about what a Magical Evening it was. My daughter Jennifer and her husband Chris were so thrilled with their wedding day, and they owe Jack and his staff for so much and for how smoothly everything went. Jack, we can never thank you enough for all you have done for our family and we will continue to recommend your beautiful home to anyone looking for an incredible place to plan a wedding. I have already received emails saying what a wonderful time they had at The Higdon House Inn. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate your friendship first, and your wonderful hospitality. Everyone was blown away by the whole experience. You and Martha did far more than I ever expected you to do. I really did not want you to go to so much trouble, but I should have known that you would, because that is who you are. Please relay to Martha again my thanks. Even though I did not get to paint (and I did not expect to) the experience really spurred some creative juices. I had to take Tylenol PM last night to sleep because my wheels were spinning so fast. I did get up this morning and go to my neighbor’s house and painted in his garden. I am taking the next few weeks off just to rest and rejuvenate and also to gear up for the fall. I cc a copy of an email I sent to my Ramble Friends. I wanted them to know what a great time we had. I hope you too will take the next few weeks to rest. I know you need it.

Thank you for having the vision of a fantasy wedding and the grounds to have it on. Your vendors were absolutely wonderful to work with and your staff helped with making our day run smooth and stress free. JoAnna was meant to have a beautiful wedding and she did. She was a princess and in those few hours I felt like her prince. It was magical, romantic, and elegant. We like how the property is split into different sections. When we first saw the chapel our eyes bugged out and our mouths dropped in awe. Everything was more than we could have ever imagined. Thank you again for a day we will never forget.

Words cannot express how grateful my family is to you and your staff for making this past weekend's wedding for JoAnna and Shawn full of "magical memories" for all of us, but most especially for JoAnna and Shawn. It could not have been more perfect! Your gardens were in full bloom for their special day, any elaborate floral on our part would have been over-kill so you saved me tons of money that I would have otherwise spent on floral arrangements. There is NO better place to have a wedding! The house, the lawns and the gardens create the kind of atmosphere a bride can only dream of and then you make those dreams come true. Everyone you referred me to as far as the caterer, the florist, DJ and photographer were wonderful to work with. You and they made preparing for a wedding hassle-free. I did little more than show up after the initial planning! Thank you, for giving my out of town family and guests such a special experience while they stayed for the weekend. They are all still raving about it and will for a long time I am sure. I have dreamed of the day JoAnna would marry and because of you, the reality far exceeded my dreams as I am sure is also true for JoAnna. I will forever, without hesitation, recommend the Higdon House to anyone who will listen. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

So much to say....Our wedding was absolutely amazing! The weather (OMG the weather was perfect), the house & grounds, the ceremony, the reception!!!...It couldn't have been a more amazing day.
We are so thankful for everyone's help, you Jack, Martha, Leigh (and her sassy frass hair!!!), your staff, everyone helped us out so much and I can't tell you how greatly we appreciate our experience.
It was simply the most memorable day of our lives. Corey and I and of course my family would like to say thank you all so very much for making our Wedding Day so Spectacular!
We are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives! I will always remember you all and we will be sure to visit very soon!

I am the aunt of Clay (the groom from yesterday's wedding). I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time my husband and I and our two daughters had at your beautiful house last night. Even with the rain everything was so beautiful. Your staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was great and the DJ made dancing in the gazebo fun for everyone.
I have been to other weddings held at historic homes and never felt as welcome and homey as your staff made us feel. I kept picturing our daughters having their weddings at your home. I hope that works out in the future.
Thanks for all the hard work you put into such a beautiful home and grounds and for true Southern Hospitality. I wish you much success in the future and I will spread the word about your magical inn.
